New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars 8:15pm EST
The New England Patriots continue to go after history and make their next step tonight.
The game certainly won't be easy but the team should be ready to take on whatever Jacksonville can dish out.
The weather will favor the Pats especially with the passing game. Tom Brady shouldn't have any problems throwing the ball. Though he might have problems with the Jags defense. Naw. I expect the Pats to go shotgun and throw the ball like crazy. No huddle. The big reason is to tire out the big guys on the Jags defense. Wear them out, and the game is over.
However, if the Jags get turnover and are able to stop the passing game, it will be a long night. But I don't see that happening. They could slow the Pats down but not stop it.
The Jags only hope is to run the ball and keep it away from Tom and co. The combination of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew is dangerous but not necessarily impossible to stop. The Pats will force Garad to throw the ball when he doesn't want too. It will certainly be more pressure on the Pats corners to step up and stop the Jags tall receivers. Tedy and Junior will have to be better than they have been in the run stop.
The Pats defense has been my biggest worry since they have slip ups during stretches in the game. Having Rosey Colvin out has hurt them.
The Jags will have to play a perfect game to have any chance and it doesn't seem possible. Anything is possible though. They are a dangerous team and shouldn't be taken lightly.
The game will probably be close til the half and afterwards thats when the Pats will run up the score. ...at least I'm hoping thats how it goes. GRIN.
Go Pats!!!
