New England Patriots vs San Francisco 49ners 4:15pm EST
better late than never.. heh
The New England Patriots have to be hungry to play this game and get the last game's loss out of their system. I can't see them coming out flat though it could happen. The Patriots are setup to have a relatively good game. The Niners aren't very good though they still pose a challenge. We all thought the Dolphins would be a pushover so I'm not about to say the Patriots will win...

The Pats defense has to show up. They were so out of it against the Dolphins, it was maddening. I blame this unit for the loss. QB JT O'Sullivan is a known quantity since he was a practice squad QB on the Pats. He is sac prone though. He does throw the ball well.

Vince and the other guys on the Dline should have some sacs. Will the Pats be physical on the line though???

The Niner offense does have weapons like RB Frank Gore. He has a lot of big runs and big plays. Mike Martz will have some tricks up his sleeve. Merriweather and co will have to be ready for the big plays.

The Niner defense is pretty good. They have a good pass defense with Patrick Willis. Red zone defense is one of the best in the NFL...for now. Cassel will have to focus when the Pats are near the end zone.

Cassel has to continue to manage the game and limit his interceptions. Get the ball to Welker and Moss would be a good start. The Pats running game has to get going again as well. Will Maroney ever get things started up again? Today would be a good time. Morris and Jordan will have to pick up any slack. Also can the Pats Oline protect Cassel for even a little bit. They were piss poor against Miami.

The Patriots should win today but who knows. After Miami, anything is possible....I still say the Patriots are a good team. Maybe they aren't as good as we all thought but they are still good. Thankfully, the season is still young and there is time to fix what needs to be fixed. The young players have to step up and play well. The defense has to play better. Cassel has to get into the flow of the game as well. Once things are squared away though, the Patriots should be fine.
