New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins
1pm EST

The New England Patriots are coming off a good win against the Jets and face the Dolphins. The game shouldn't even be close and the Patriots should win today's game. However, as the old saying goes, any given Sunday.... Lets not get too cocky.

However, Cassel should have a good game. The Dolphin pass defense is poor to say the least and this game should give a good opportunity for Cassel to showcase his passing game. The Pats running game is a bit banged up with Lamont Jordan and Lawrence Maroney being both hobbled a bit. Its reported that Jordan will not play. The bulk of the running game will go to Sammy Morris, Heath Evans, and Kevin Faulk. Perhaps thats why they re-signed Kyle Eckel earlier in the week.

Will Ben Watson play? Hard to say...Dave Thomas could pick up the slack. Randy Moss should get a bunch of passes thrown his way though. Wes Welker should have another good game too.

The Pats will hopefully get touch downs and not settle for field goals.

The Miami defense is not very good. However, they do have LB Jake Long. The defensive line could prove to be a challenge to the Pats running game. They do a have big sized line and go after the quarterback.

Jerry Porter can kiss my ass. I hope the Pats go after him and score a ton of points.

The Patriots defense came up big last week. The front seven just was a beast and stuffed the Jets running game. Can Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams break through? Vince Wilfork is a bit banged up. That could prove costly if the injury is more severe than reported. Vince is the key cog in the d-line.

With all this said, the Patriots defense should still be able to stop the Dolphins offense. Chad Pennington has been able to make drives down the field in the past. However the offense is just too young and lack big players. But they shouldn't be taken lightly either. TE David Martin and Anthony Fasano will be key targets for Pennington. Short passes, dink and dunk....The Pats corners should have a good game today.

The kicking game and special teams will have to make sure to give Matt and co good field position again. It certainly helped last week.

The Patriots should win today's game Its one of the few games this season, I have confidence in the outcome. But I wouldn't be surprised if the game was close for the first half. The Patriots have too many good weapons though, to let the final score be close.
